The
farm Lýsuhóll is located in Western Iceland on the
South coast of the Snæfellsnes peninsula, which many Iceland
experts consider to be the most beautiful part of the country. It
is charactarized by a huge variety of landscapes and the glacier
Snæfellsjökull with its nearly magical attraction gives
it a very special charme.

Lýsuhóll is a small family business. During the summer we offer accommodation in cosy little summer cottages and a new summerhouse with double and single rooms as well as short rides and riding tours from one hour up to many days. During the winter we mainly concentrate on training horses. Come and discover the incredibly beautiful landscape - mountains, the sea, colourful sandy beaches, the glacier, rivers, lakes and lava flows - on foot, on horseback, by bike or by car and admire nature's fascinating shapes and colours. But not only nature offers you recreation, there are various activities being offered. There is a swimming pool with a hot tub in walking distance from Lýsuhóll (ca. 300 m). Both is filled with natural warm mineral water directly from the ground, which makes it a very special and healthy bathing experience. Furthermore there is a 9-hole golf nearby (ca. 6km) and our guests can go trout-fishing in our own river for free. |
